The following video highlights an incident of serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 74th minute of the Whitecaps game against Sporting Kansas City on March 12.

This is a clear case of Serious Foul Play. The force of the kick is out of the realm of a normal challenge. Clearly there is not a play on the ball and you can clearly see that the ball is in front of the attacking player. The challenger comes in hard and with force. One could argue that this could be violent conduct, but it appears it could be a play on the ball and SFP will suffice. The result is a sending off (red card), for endangering the safety of a player.
